A multi-talented and sweet friend of mine recently nominated me for the “kreativ blogger” award. Whee! Thanks for thinking of me. As a part of accepting this award, I have to share seven interesting facts about me with you. Here they are:
- I never believed in Santa Clause. Growing up in Hong Kong, kids just didn’t believe in Santa even though we celebrated Christmas. I never believed in tooth fairy neither, in case you’re wondering.
- I love to read (favorite book = Wuthering Heights). When I was in sixth grade, I led a team of kids who managed the library at school. Then when I was in high school, I worked at the local city library for almost two years. What a nerd.
- I don’t have the athletic gene. Seriously, there is not a single sport that I am remotely good at or enjoy playing. Heck, I’m even bad at bowling. However, I like watching sports games as long as food is plentiful and delicious.
- I got kicked out of ballet class when I was in fourth or fifth grade for talking too much in class. Yep. Also, I often got shushed in elementary school :) It’s so strange because I’m actually pretty quiet nowadays.
- The other day I told my mom about my photography, and she told me that before I was born my dad was really into photography as well. He even bought a SLR camera, which was very expensive back then, and especially for my parents. Knowing this really warmed my heart.
- I have a major sweet tooth. In fact, I often tell people that my stomach is compartmentalized: one part for regular food, the other part for sweets. That’s why I always have room for desserts!
- I love taking pictures of lamps. It’s a very strange habit, I know. Here’s a recent one at the Gamble House in Pasadena:
