A Day in My Life
I recently took the plunge (FINALLY!!!) and bought an iPhone. Can I just say it is oh so awesome? I can now easily overshare my life with the world, all the time ;-)
Shall we start with some pictures I took throughout the day today? This is a bit extreme and is not a normal day for me, but it does illustrate how crazy my life gets sometimes.
1. My day started with getting to LAX at 6:00 AM:
2. I love this building!
3. Waiting for my flight:
4. To Oakland. Yep. There’s nothing there.
5. That’s because I’m actually going to San Francisco ;-)
6. After a meeting, had lunch here:
7. Then hopped right back on a plane:
8. And got back to LA by 3:30 PM:
As you can imagine, I’m beat now.
Happy New Year!
My husband and I rang in the new year in — wait for it — Sequoia!
I should preface by explaining how vacations are generally planned in the Seieroe household:
(1) Long trips: mostly out-of-country, planned meticulously by yours truly beginning with a Lonely Planet travel guide
(2) Short weekend trips: mostly road trips, usually beginning with this conversation:
Me: Let’s go to [insert place I've never been and know nothing about]!
Jason (my husband): Ok. I’ll plan everything for the trip since you’re too scatterbrained to get anything done.
Well, it’s no surprise then that I didn’t realize the temperature in Sequoia was in the 10s and 20s over the weekend. Or the fact that they hadn’t gotten this much snow in 30 years.
Yikes.
In spite of my lack of preparation, the trip was so much fun! Everything was covered in snow; it was truly a winter wonderland.
May 2011 bring you lots of happiness and love!
Happy Holidays!
Why I Haven’t Been Blogging Lately
#1: Settlers of Catan
Settlers of Catan is a nerdy board game that is a cross between monopoly and risk. It is oh so addictive (and each game takes such a long time to play, yikes).
#2: My Digital Piano
I recently bought a digital piano to satisfy my craving for playing music again. I took piano lessons from the age of 4 and nearly became a music major in college, but the practical side of me chose a different path instead.
#3: Getting Home Before Sunset
This happens so rarely that I cherish every single day when I do get home before the sun sets. Life gets so busy that the blog just gets tossed aside as a casualty.
But don’t worry, I’m still here!

Blog Redesign Woes
This pretty much describes how I feel right now:
Sigh.
As a self-proclaimed more-technical-than-your-average-computer-user I-can-make-my-own-web-site person, changing the formatting on this blog is taking way more effort and time than it really should. I hope to finish this redesign in a few days, so please bear with me.
Anyway, while waiting for a baby to be fed during a photo session, I snapped a few pictures of their dogs:
(I’ll admit that I’m not much of a pet person, but these dogs really are too cute not to be photographed!)
Happy New Year!
Now that the holidays are over, I can finally take a deep breath and reassess where this little blog is heading :) I hope to blog more regularly in 2010 with more fun content, so I will start the year off with a desktop wallpaper for your computer!
Look! It even has a calendar ;-)
You can download this desktop wallpaper (for free!) here:
Widescreen: 1680×1050 | 1920×1200
Fullscreen: 1280×960 | 1600×1200
Cheers!
Nine Years
Life took a sudden turn in the past week and I’ve been trying hard to catch up, but I still wanted to take a moment to say happy ninth dating anniversary to my love :)
By the way, I have something very exciting coming up this weekend and I’ll report back when I have pictures! Stay tuned.
Happy Labor Day Weekend!
Meet my companion this weekend:
Years ago, I was actually a business administration + economics major in college. However, neither school nor my real-world work experience in big firms really taught me how to start / run a small business.
No worries; the library came to my rescue!
Admittedly these titles scare me (bookkeeping? legal guide? business plan? what?), but they are also intriguing. People often say that being a professional photographer means 10% of the time shooting, 90% of the time managing the business. Luckily, I enjoy both sides of things :) So, bring it on!
